We only ask a few things of our members:
1. Have fun! That has always been the main purpose of this club! Enjoy yourselves!
2. Respect others, and they'll respect you. If they don't, contact your Chapter Director, or reach out to an Administrator directly.
3. Leave the politics at at home. We are an incredibly diverse group of individuals from all all walks of life. We all come to gatherings to escape the drama that follows modern politics. So please, do not bring up politics at gatherings, and if you typically fly a political flag at your campsite we ask that you keep it packed away during TearJerker events. These are not the time or place to push any political agenda.
4. You are welcome to hold and practice your own religious beliefs, but for the same reasons as #3 above, group environments such as the TearJerkers are not the place to push those beliefs on others. If you pray before meals, that is fine but do not ask or expect others to do the same. TearJerkers gatherings are not the place to promote any religion or political views.
None of this is new - this is the way its always been since Todd started the group in 1997. So if any of this is too much to ask (especially the part about having fun), perhaps the TearJerkers just isn't a good fit for you.
For the 99.99% of you who can play nice with others, CHEERS TO YOU! We can't wait to see you around the campfire.
