  • Solar Generator woes

Last Friday I purchased a Bluetti Elite 200 V2. It will be the 2nd Bluetti I have purchased, and I have nothing negative to say about the Bluetti I already own. The problem I have is with the online purchasing process.

When I went to purchase the unit I put my info, including my credit card number, and it immediately thanked me for my purchase and told me that I had completed the transaction. Being concerned, I went and looked up the information for the sale. It had my current address for billing but had an old address from 3 years prior as the shipping address. I immediately looked up the number for Bluetti customer support and called them several times.

While their office was still open my phone call was cut off saying they had no representatives to take my call. No way to record the issue so they could get back to me, nothing. So I emailed their customer service and told them the problem. the weekend went by and I didn't hear from them. I thought, okay they are closed for the weekend and I should here from their customer service on Monday.

On Monday I received notice that my unit had been shipped to (you guessed it) my old address. I called them immediately and was told by recording that I had called outside of their business hours (I was 5 minutes early.) So I waited the 5 minutes and called back. In the meantime I finally got a message from Bluetti customer service saying that they had received my email and a representative was looking into it. Really? It had already been shipped!

I finally was able to talk with one of the representatives who talked in circles saying the product had already been shipped and kept going back to that point every time I told him that it was going to the wrong address. He gave me his assurance that he would have someone look into it. That was yesterday. This morning, I checked on the Fedex page tracking my unit and it is still listed as going to my old address (which is 8 hours driving time from where I live now.)

I called Bluetti again. The representative gave me the same spiel of how the unit was already shipped. I explained 3 more times to her that their website had sent it to our old address (I figure it went there because that's where we were living when I purchased our first Bluetti generator.) and that the error was on their end. She continued to give me the same runaround about how the unit was already shipped. I asked to speak to her supervisor.

The supervisor gave me the same runaround at first, but I did finally get him to see that they needed to reach out to Fedex and change the address as they were the only ones who could do so. He said that he would get on it and promised me an email by 5PM today to let me know that it was done. It's now 10 to 10 and no email.

I did however get an email from Fedex saying that my time for delivery was adjusted, so I went and looked, hoping beyond all hope that the reason for the adjustment was they had changed the address to our current home. No such luck! So tomorrow morning I start all over.

Bluetti is a great product, but I am not impressed at all with their customer service. I am sending this out in order to possibly keep someone else from going through a similar ordeal!

Have a great day and keep on camping!

As a follow up, I just contacted Bluetti again today. They said they are going to refuse delivery to the Montana address and when they have that confirmation they will resend a unit to our location. Good news! We have time as our next campout is in the middle of July and it is a powered site so having the Bluetti there is not an issue. (Although it would be nice! We have our smaller unit as yet (The Bluetti EB70S) A great little unit, but we wanted to insure that in case of bad weather we'd have power.

The larger unit will also let us use a small refrigerator for our meat leaving our cooler for drinks, etc. I really do like the Bluetti generators! And the best thing is that the supervisor I have been working with is going to pass the issue with the ordering platform up the chain to stop this from happening to anyone else! That is the big win for this situation!

Great News! Although Bluetti hasn't sent me any updates, upon checking the tracking number from Fedex The generator is now heading to my location!
