TearJerkers was founded in 1997 by Todd Brunengraber, with assistance from Grant Whipp of "Teardrop Tales & Trails / Teardrop Times".
What started out as a group of hot-rodders towing their teardrops slowly evolved into the international club it is today. In the beginning, Yahoo Groups is where gatherings were organized and discussions took place. In November 2007, the leap was made from Yahoo Groups to our own dedicated website powered by PHPBB3. Over the next 13 years the club grew and expanded, and in 2020 we realized that the place we called home for so long was becoming outdated and in need of a complete overhaul. In February 2020 we launched the current website and forum and will be here for many years to come.

Our members include owners, home builders, manufacturers, restorers, parts suppliers, and creative craftsmen that build their own from scratch. We enjoy not only our small teardrop and vintage trailers but also the vintage vehicles to tow them with. TearJerkers started out on the East Coast of the U.S. but, has expanded to include members from Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden, and The Netherlands.
TearJerkers is an informal group of people who share their love of Teardrop and small travel trailers through discussions & Gatherings.
"If you enjoy the great outdoors and fellowship with others, our campsite will always be open."
Let us make no mistake, TearJerkers does "Group Camping". Our gatherings are social events with lots of interaction and activities. One does not have to be a member to attend our Gatherings. You don't even have to have a teardrop camper to join us around the campfire. We've opened our campsites to other small and vintage travel trailers as well.
We do have a few Guidelines we ask all members to adhere to while at gatherings and interacting on the forum/Facebook groups:
1. Have fun! That has always been the main purpose of this club! Enjoy yourselves!
2. Respect others, and they'll respect you. If they don't, contact your Chapter Director, or reach out to an Administrator directly.
3. Leave the politics at at home! We are an incredibly diverse group of individuals from all walks of life. We come here to escape the drama that surrounds modern politics. So please, leave that political flag at home.
If any of these simple guidelines are a problem for, don't let the door hit you on the way out
If you're still reading this, then we hope to see you around the campfire!
