Not new to camping (old school tent camping since 1958), but new to teardropping. In the process of my first build. I look forward to learn from other’s wisdom.

Donald,
No one's design is "perfect." Review as many builds as possible and borrow ideas, combine them, and create what's best for you.
Measure twice (or thrice!) and cut once.
Have confidence in your abilities, but don't be afraid to ask for advice if you can't find an answer for your needs on this forum, tnttt.com, Instructables, and YouTube videos.
If you "hit a wall," put down the tools, walk away for a while, and re-attack once you've calmed down.
If possible, get your kids/grandkids, spouse, and folks you know involved - "new eyes" looking at things can spot oversights and give valuable insights.
