Hello all. I'm Dave Beals (wife Dawn) and we just brought our teardrop home to Ohio from Aiken, SC. As I have zero wood working skills or the appropriate tools, we chose the "build for us" option from WanderTears. We chose simplicity with the only "luxury" of basic electric and a 10 speed fan that's the base model Vaga. We added a cabin table and a simple 5lb Propane tank and bracket. It has a standard axle with electric brakes. Like many of you, we just want a tent lifestyle with a better setup to match our aging bones. I will say that WanderTears has a lot of build options (as well as DIY plans/kits); we are really impressed with the build quality.

We are looking forward to being part of the teardrop community.

Thanks for the heads up; I have looked at the Buckeye forum and due to other pre-planned events, the Spring/Summer gatherings are out for us. Possible for the fall if we can get a spot - I checked the ODNR page, but when I searched for space in the B loop, it showed all as "Add-On" and didn't seem to let me book a spot. Do I need to call ODNR? Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

For the fall gathering (or any Ohio State Park camping), you can only book six months ahead. So if you want to arrive Thursday October 2nd, make your reservation this coming Wednesday April 2nd. The reason you see some of us already having reservations is because are arriving early.
