  • Completed 5x12 Build in Chicago Suburbs

Hello everyone. My wife and I built our teardrop trailer this spring. I have a detailed build journal on tnttt.com, but I wanted to share some pictures of our build here. I'll include the link to my full build journal but the highlights are as follows.

    Frame: 1992 Starcraft Pop-up camper
Suspension: Timbren 3500lb straight axle conversion suspension.
    Axle: 3500lb Dexter with brakes
Tires: 31" BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2
Queen Bed with head board storage
    100AH AGM Battery
100W Renogy Solar Panel and Renogy solar controller with DC/DC charger

    Full Build Journal: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=73740

We were luck enough to break our trailer in on a 2 week tour of Denver, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park and the Badlands. We are looking forward to meeting some of you all at future Tear Jerker meet ups! Hopefully you enjoy the pics and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thanks for the kind words Bob! We spent nearly 20 nights in it this year. Not too bad for not having it on the road until mid July!

Hey Rodney! It looks that way. Maybe we'll see you out at one of the Tearjerker events this year. We are going to try to make at least 1 event.
