Many of us "overwinter" by tinkering with upgrades on our tiny campers. What have you been doing in the garage over the past couple of months to enhance the 2024 season?
In past TJ camp outs I've found myself admiring some of the galley upgrades/rehabs I've seen from some of my chapter members and finally did one myself. It only took a few hours and really gave the "kitchen" some diner-style pizzaz!
It only cost $36 for a sheet of aluminum that I carefully measured and cut by scoring with a box cutter and folding on the cuts. Add a few stainless screws and I now have a shiny new backsplash that should be easy to clean up any cooking splatter! I did take these pics before I ran a bead of clear caulk which cleaned up the edges nicely. Hope you "like" it!
Next, I'm thinking about pulling the sink/stove top combo unit to remove and replace the old caulking (it's getting kinda dingy). Has anyone done that? Any advice?
