  • TearJerkers' Photo Challenge Game

Lets have a little fun and see some of your teardrop and tiny travel trailer pictures! The rules are simple. We'll start by announcing a challenge, and then someone has to post a single picture of their teardrop (or tiny travel trailer) completing that challenge, along with a short description of when & where the photo was taken. Whoever is the first person to share a photo that answers the challenge gets to propose the next challenge, and so on. You cannot answer your own challenge. Lets get this started!

Challenge: Share a picture of your little camper in the snow.

(Remember, the first person to answer this challenge has to propose the next challenge)
Life moves a little slower on Teardrop Time...

Sold it back in 2012. Last I heard it was down in Alabama somewhere.

I thought someone might have a better photo, but I guess not. How about a picture of cooking breakfast outside.

Several will recognize this photo!! Five years ago several of us Chesapeake Bay and Liberty Bell chapter members camped in Wayne in Maryland's backyard. A neighbor with a tractor had to pull all the campers to solid ground leaving Wayne's backyard a muddy mess. We had lots of fun and laughs that weekend.

You're supposed to issue the next challenge when you post something, i.e., "Camper next to a UFO" or the like. Nice pic, BTW.

Yes! We toured the factory - very interesting. We also saw the world's largest coo-coo clock in the town of Sugar Creek, OH!
That was the final leg of our 9667 mile road/camping trip - 22 states, 7 national parks along with a host of state parks and national forests!
We've now got all 48 contiguous states on our map!

Me thinks there is some misunderstanding here.

Motorcycle forums sometimes do something like this. It would actually heat up quite a bit with multiple people trying to get to the location first. They would usually not allow old photos, but usually folks are looking for a reason to ride anyway. By comparison, I suppose towing is not quite the most enjoyable (or economical) part of the tiny camper experience? 😕

                                          Drew,

I beg to differ regarding your comment about "towing" not being the most enjoyable/economical part of a teardrop camping experience.

First of all, towing a tiny lightweight, aerodynamic camper is certainly far more economical than a larger travel trailer or a motor home!!!!

Secondly, the small size makes it very easy to negotiate turns, corners and tight places like gas stations. And other customers at gas stations are very likely to compliment or ask questions about the teardrop ("Does that thang got a bathroom"? - "Why yes, 2 1/2 baths, full basement with a pool table and a wet bar!".) Being so lightweight, a tiny camper is easy pull up even steep grades and permits rapid acceleration when needed.

Finally, they are fun to tow!!! It is very common to discover that a passing vehicle slows to admire (and often photograph) an iconic teardrop. After which, the car usually gives a "thumbs-up" when passing! Yeah, even bikers and the guys in the Maserati give the "thumbs-up!!! The only down side I've experienced to this is when a car lurks and looks too long while along side - a slight safety concern.

So, dry those tears and smile all the way down the highway - Chris
